We haven't made a new post in a bit but there hasn't been much of a change in the adoption area over the past few weeks. We have been told that the waiting is the hardest part of the process and that certainly is turning out to be the case. Since we have been put on the waiting list 6 weeks ago we have moved up a total of 3 spots all of which happened in the first two weeks. Since then there has been no movement which means no referrals to our agency. From what we gather there are numerous children at the orphanages working with our agency, but due to legalities processing paperwork, these children have not yet become available for referral. We are hoping that all this waiting with no action will result in a large number referrals and a significant decrease in our prospective wait time.
Some prefer not to know if they have "moved up the list" on a monthly basis. Jana and I on the other hand remain glued to our computers on a weekly basis checking for updates from others also waiting for referrals, or any new information from the agency. At this point I suspect when the agency sees our Florida number on their caller ID there must be a collective sign of "its the Esden's again!" :)
In the meantime Jana is just weeks away from finishing her doctoral program and we look forward to a few weeks away in Wisconsin in July.
